For our latest show, Cosmic Code we worked with British designers: David McFarline and Christopher Moorby of Commission to create a series of unique screen prints. They produced 5 different colour ways of Cosmic Code, a Post-Pop work designed to embody the style of both musicians Psychemagik and multidisciplinary artist Ari Russo. The print includes appropriated imagery from a classic book “Fairburn Figures” which advertising agencies referenced heavily in the 1970s. It plays on artwork from private press records which Psychemagik sample and collect, whilst the font used has a lo-fi ‘computer code’ relevant to Ari’s work. The print is available both plain and with gold ink text, giving it that indulgent 70s feel, all printed on a uncoated woodstock paper. These will be on display at the Gallery Bar of the Ace Hotel London from the 18th to 30th November 2014.
