OHHHHMY! Andrew McAttee’s pop-up exhibition photos

I’d like to thank everyone who made it to Andrew McAttee’s pop-up exhibition on the 25th & 26th of October. We had over 400 visitors during the 2 day event, including press, members of the auction houses and avid collectors of McAttee’s work. On Thursday evening we released the exclusive OHHHHMY! giclee print whilst DJ and producer, Nicholas Feel created a soundtrack to the art. Andrew McAttee featured in The Independent newspaper today!

Andrew McAttee’s pop-up exhibition OHHHHMY! was received with praise from the public last night. We are also pleased to highlight Andrew’s feature in The Independent for his upcoming auction with Bonhams next week. This will be the first Street Art auction in the US, and causing quite a stir in the art world at the moment.

Nicholas Feel to create the soundtrack to Andrew McAttee’s Art

We’ve chosen London-based DJ and producer, Nicholas Feel to create a live soundtrack to Andrew McAttee’s Art on the 25th & 26th of October 2012. OHHHHMY! Painting Process and Giclee Print

OHHHHMY! took Andrew McAttee 4 weeks to paint, we took photos along the way in order to document the process. Cedric Bardawil: How did you go from graffiti into studio work, and when did this transition take place? An exhibition of Andrew McAttee’s Art on the 25th & 26th of October 2012

Andrew McAttee will be exhibiting his latest works of art in the Attic: an unconventional space on the top floor of a Victorian building in London. His work draws together inspiration from his background as a graffiti writer (STET), which spanned across three decades beginning in the 1980’s, along with his time as a Fine Art student where he became increasingly interested in Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism. At first glance you’ll notice the hallmarks of bright, bold, eye-catching Pop Art but without a Coca-Cola reference: it’s the mood and shimmer of this movement he is most interested in.
